My name’s Rich, and I am the father of two fantastic boys. This blog is a place for me to share the weird and wonderful things I learn about life as they grow up. I don’t pretend to be a perfect Dad or know everything about parenting, but I give my honest opinion on what works for me (and what doesn’t).
A bit about me: I work in the City of London in a job that can sometimes mean spending more time in the office than I’d like. I tinker with technology and spend lots of time outdoors in my VW T25 campervan. I love to cook and my guilty pleasure is books on Maths.
A bit about my boys: C was born at the end of 2014. He’s currently in his terrible twos, and favourite pastimes are playing with trains, books (both reading and cuddling) and watching TV whenever he is allowed. My younger son S joined us in early 2016. His main interests are putting anything he can into his mouth and annoying his brother.
We live in Kent with their Mummy, who is an Australian (or sometimes a Kiwi – when the rugby is on). She’s had a bit more practice with the parenting thing having spent most of the past two years on maternity leave. She is an excellent mother, combining the best parts of Margot Robbbie, Mary Berry, Rachel Riley and Mrs Doubtfire. She also reads this blog.
The final member of the household is Gerty, our cat. She used to be spoilt but now finds herself at the bottom of the pecking order. The boys adore her, but so far their love remains unrequited.
